Amarok Music
What is it?
Basically it's first of all a compilation of the best free&libre tracks out there in the music world. Later on (if project grows as expected) it can become a similar thing to Heineken Music -
Heineken Music offers you the best parties, dance events and music festivals of the international party scene.
(though that's really really really distant future ;-)
AM will consist of 2 CDs, released every 3 months, those are named AMP (Amarok Music Promo) and AMC (Amarok Music Compilation). AMP is featuring 5 songs of the following AMC's artists/genre (e.g. AMC #71 will feature Electronica, AMP #71 will also feature Electronica or even the AMC's artists), 3 months after the AMP release is the AMC release which consists of 15 different songs from a certain genre (e.g. Electronica). AMC releases are made in the same month as Kubuntu releases, this way Amarok Live can be directly based on the new Kubuntu release and reuse the 15+5 songs from AMP+AMC (of course this only makes sense if ALive becomes Kubuntu based).
- January 2008: AMP #81
- April 2008: AMC #81 and ALive 2.0.2-81 (based on Kubuntu)
- July 2008: AMP #82
- October 2008: AMC #82 and ALive 2.0.4-82
- January 2009: AMP #91
