From Amarok Wiki
I really like "Rediscover your music". Amarok, especially combined with Audioscrobbler, lets you see what you like, what you don't, and what you might. It manages your music for you, something that other *nix media players simply don't do well.
I cannot understand why somebody erased my "amaroK: even better than your anal intruder" slogan. It's funny and of immediate understanding. Febser
I agree whoever erased lacks a sense of humour. This is not in the spirit of amaroK! --Mxcl
"amaroK - developed globally, played locally." Stop the contest! We have a winner! --Mxcl
- Heh, I thought of this at work and set about immediately to try and not forget it. It's of course a take-off on the leftist slogan "think globally, act locally". --Eean 01:43, 30 Jan 2005 (EST)
"Rediscover your music." Another excellent slogan there :) --Mxcl
re: rediscover your music. I just noticed Firefox's slogan is 'rediscover the web'. Whether that is a good or a bad thing, I am not sure. --Illissius
amaroK - Music in any language
I thought I'd just describe why I suggested this :) The reasoning behind this slogan is that since the program's name is partially due to an album, we could make the slogan a pun on a piece of music by Apollo Four Forty called Pain in Any Language. The song paints the broken heart beautifully, and amaroK does music just as well. That's the thought behind it anyway ;) --Leinir 18:15, 18 Feb 2005 (EST)
