--Apachelogger 18:10, 3 August 2006 (UTC)=== Mass Tagging === I have a proposal for a tagging solution for Amarok (Mass Tagging), well, it's arguable of course whether one is needed (and I don't know whether I'm going to program it sometime), though I'm wondering if it possible to place a link to it under Proposal to see if there is any discussion. -- Andu 17:34, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
- The whole page sounds like talking about a tagging application - now the message: Amarok isn't a tagging app! Anyway, after reading it three times it's still misterious for me why a media player should support all that stuff?! Plus, it would overload the interface and most stuff should be able to be done with a script anyway!--Apachelogger 11:28, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with what you say. Though Amarok now already supports filling in tags from filenames and from MusicBrainz. And the interface is not very good. If Amarok is not a tag editor, then why have it there? -- Andu 16:34, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
- From time to time it happens that freedb (and others) have typos, so you will adapt them when ripping, considering you notice this when browsing your music with Amarok, one has to be able to fix that easily without having to start a havey load tagging app. The whole idea is not about mass tagging, just the usual tagging happening from time to time in all day usage. That's why you think the interface is not very good. --Apachelogger 18:10, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Script skeletons for 2.0
Hi there,
is the script interface already stable? A good script skeleton could maybe now motivate amarok script developers to start porting there scripts.
My biggest wish for Amarok 2 would be a nice stable skeleton that is easy to adapt to the developer's needs. On my wish list is something like: easy gui creation with some KDE tools, easy i18n support, etc. I may speak for others too when saying that a lot of skript developers don't take the time to completely go down into the KDE/Python/Ruby HOWTOs, to be able to write good scripts for the end user. My scripts e.g. are a hell of a hack, because I can't afford the time to get used to all the KDE intergration stuff. I know how to do Python though. Anyone willing to provide such a nice skeleton? --Chris 22:27, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
