We are planning a 'big' promotional campaign for amaroK, called roKymotion. So we need lots of good stuff, to show how fantastic it is to rediscover your music with amaroK.

  • templates for presentations [1] (KPresenter needs better OpenDocument Presentation (ODP) im/export filters)
  • presentations (extended using of amaroK and such stuff)
  • more advertise stuff
  • banners
  • buttons
  • wallpapers
  • just everything which sounds like gfx
  • presentations/presence at conferences, linux-meetings etc.
  • build-up relations to distributors and companies which could sponsor the devs (hardware or maybe a job with lotz of freetime?)
  • show the users how mighty things they can do with the latest release
  • studies about usability, new features, problems
  • writing reviews for magazines or popular online sites

If you think you can help us with anything of the above listed things (or something else that is related to promotion), don't hesitate to send a short presentation of yourself to the mailing list (Please, join it too.) We are always glad to get new roKymotion members.

Ideas

  • Also links, buttons and banners on your homepage or in your mails should be part of the campaign. We have already a lowly collection of buttons on the Advertising page, feel free to increase it ;)--Apachelogger 14:52, 4 Sep 2005 (EDT)
  • Make better Wikipedia-articles about amaroK. Currently most of them are way to short. But beware the neutral point of view! --Sven423 05:01, 9 Sep 2005 (EDT)
