Amarok can be installed by installing the amarok package. For example, using apt-get:

# apt-get install amarok

Current versions

Amarok is in all current Debian releases.

The version in stable (Etch) is 1.4.4.
Testing (Lenny) and unstable (Sid) has the newest stable Amarok version (1.4.10).
Debian experimental has prereleases of Amarok 2 (1.9x).
