Amarok 2.2 Beta 1 "Crystal Clear" wydany

Kolejne lato minęło - lato, które było dość pracowite dla całego zespołu Amaroka: wprowadzanie nowych funkcji, poprawianie błędów i ulepszanie Amaroka każdego dnia. Zespół nigdy nie przestawał pracować, czy to na plaży, dworcu kolejowym, czekając na lotnisku, czy wypoczywając w domku letniskowym w lesie.
Jesteśmy więc wreszcie gotowi zaprezentować wam pierwszą odsłonę Amaroka 2.2 w formie beta1, nazwaną Crystal Clear.

Wszystkim elementom waszego preferowanego odtwarzacza muzyki została poświęcona uwaga. Lista zmian jest do prawdy ogromna i imponująca. Amarok jest teraz dostępny z nowym, ulepszonym układem przeglądarek po lewej, oraz świeżym apletem video dostarczającym wam teledysków do ulubionych piosenek z różnych stron internetowych. Nowy aplet zdjęć pokazuje obrazy związane z aktualnym wykonawcą wprowadzając w odpowiedni nastrój. Wiele z apletów Widoku kontekstowego zostało również mocno uaktualnionych.

Strona lewa, prawa, środek... straszna nuda. Więc, wreszcie możecie zmienić układ wszystkich elementów interfejsu i umieścić je gdzie wam się podoba! Możecie nawet łączyć elementy i przełączać się między nimi używając zakładek. Pasek narzędziowy jest zbyt duży na wasz gust? Spróbujcie więc nowego toolbarNG. Oczywiście nie poprzestaliśmy na ulepszeniach wizualnych. Poprawiliśmy również skaner kolekcji i usunęliśmy powiązane błędy. Możecie teraz oceniać swoją muzykę w widoku kolekcji, aplecie właśnie odtwarzanego utworu oraz również na liście odtwarzania. Macie przenośny odtwarzacz? Podłączcie go, a znajdzie się on w przeglądarce kolekcji. Chcecie odsłuchać płytę CD? Włóżcie ją do napędu, a automatycznie pojawi się w przeglądarce kolekcji. pozwalając na bezpośrednie odtworzenie lub skopiowanie utworów na dysk twardy.

Lista odtwarzania ma również wiele nowości do zaoferowania. Dostajecie do rąk zaawansowane wielopoziomowe sortowanie z intuicyjnym interfejsem; pełny lub częściowy tryb losowy oraz możliwość zmiany sposobu grupowania utworów. Wszystkie te różne ustawienia listy odtwarzania mogą być zapisane razem, w postaci zakładki i łatwo zastosowane ponownie później. Na przykład, jeśli grupujecie ścieżki pod względem kompozytora, możecie również zastosować układ listy odtwarzania, który pokazuje informacje dotyczące kompozytora, a nie albumu w nagłówku grupy. Przy okazji zakładek, przeglądarka kolekcji oraz lista odtwarzania mają teraz bardzo prosty interfejs do przechowywania i używania zakładek; również w odniesieniu do edycji, grupowania i usuwania zakładek, menedżer zakładek został bardzo usprawniony i jest teraz dostępny z menu narzędzi.

W kategorii "Saved Playlists" (zapisane listy odtwarzania) odnajdziecie zaimportowane pliki list, znalezione podczas skanowania folderów kolekcji. Kiedy dokonacie w nich zmian, pliki na dysku teraz również się zmienią.

Pobierajcie, testujcie, dobrze się bawcie i koniecznie zgłaszajcie wszystkie znalezione błędy na bugs.kde.org, żebyśmy mogli wydać świetnego Amaroka 2.2 za jakiś miesiąc.

From here clicking links can add albums to the playlist, navigate to the artist or album in the browser, remove an album from favorites and (for download members) start a download.

• Playlist layouts can now show simple inline playback controls and a progress bar for the currently active track. This can be enabled on a per layout basis in the playlist layout manager dialog.
• Show position in track of the mouse (the position in the track that playback will jump to if pressing the mouse) when hovering over the progress bar.
• Amarok File Tracking can now use MusicBrainz track identifiers as embedded IDs.
• Allow sorting in the bookmark manager.
• Allow filtering in the bookmark manager.
• Add colums to the bookmark manger and make it possible to edit items inline.
• Add a small bookmark menu to the browser breadcrumb bar allowing for navigation to a bookmark, as well as creating a new bookmark based on the current "view" or calling up the bookmark manager.

• Ipod initialization support when failed to read an iPod database.

• Audio CD support. Audio CDs now show up as a separate collection and tracks from the CD can be freely mixed with any other tracks in the playlist. Using the "Copy to Collection" menu its possible to copy (rip) tracks directly to the local (or any other writable) collection.
• Sortable playlist. The playlist can now be hierarchical sorted using a breadcrumb like interface to select sorting levels. Sorting can be easily reverted.
