If you handled this in the openSUSE build (see http://openSUSE.org/Build_Service and
#opensuse-buildservice on freenode) service you could quite easily build it for _all_ popular distributions (Fedora, Debian, openSUSE, Ubuntu, Mandriva) and distribution versions there -- and all with purely free software.
