Great work! ( as usual And, indeed, it is nice what one can accomplish without.. distractions.
Great work, the lack of a playlist browser has been a good reason for me not switching to the nightly builds!
Also, I loooove Blackfield and PT! =] You coders have a great taste in music!
That is exactly how Amarok gets that good - the devs want to make the single best music player on the planet, because they want to use the single best music player on the planet
I still have issues in loading playlists as for bug 161493: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=161493
Anyway: guys your work is amazing! Keep on rock this way!
I like it! I've always wanted a way to save a playlist without dumping it in some arbitrary place on my filesystem. Keeping it inside Amarok's DB makes the most sense for my use cases
Well, not having your girlfriend around amazingly increases your productivity, which is a long known fact.
As for the button, why don't you combine the save button, with the curly arrow button (just 2 places right to it, the clockwise one)? That way, it would clearly mean "save, and export". My opinion on the playlist browser would be that it looks more cluttered as compared to Amarok 1.
Oh great news saving playlist in DB.
If I use Amarok 1.x in GNOME and Shut-Down the computer, it doesn't save last playlist. Will the Current Playlist be in Sync with DB and Display? This could help to have it after restart (at least in GNOME). greets, loeppel
Thats odd, for me in 1.X it shows the playlist when I next turn amarok on, I am using KDE, but I am not sure why that should make a difference. Although, it doesn't remember any filters I have on, which can be annoying.
Oh I think thats something with the Session Management, maybe in KDE4 its fixed anyway. But it makes a Big difference. Also if you put Amarok into the Tray with Metacity (Default GNOME Window Manager) when its maximized, and restore it form the tray it won't be maximixed anymore - in KDE it works.
I think we should fix such things! It would be embarrassing for the Community if Amarok2 run better on Windows than on GNOME!! KDE Apps should just run fine in GNOME as GNOME apps in KDE should! Greets, loeppel
Good work.
Though I wouldn't personally consider export a frequently enough used action to add to a toolbar. |
