Introduction: I'm Amarok's new Artist
Hi All!
I'm really happy to say that I'm a new artist for the Amarok project. You might remember me as a programmer, but now we Amarok programmers also create artwork for the project.
Please check out my first contribution, a new logo:
Isn't that awesome? I've always had a talent for drawing, and I think this really shows.
Ooooooook, I realize that it's maybe not a really good idea if programmers also do artwork. But we have no choice. While we really can't complain about lack of coders in the project, we have about 0 artists left, so someone's gotta do the job.
If you are a talented SVG artist and if you like Amarok (or if you know such a person), please contact us and help making Amarok 2 a beautiful application!

Nuno is indeed an excellent artist, but he is already very busy with Oxygen.
What we really need is artists that join our project and stay with us permanently. We've had about 10 artists willing to help us over the last year, but none of them are still with us!

The design of this logo is awesome.

Well, I can't say that I'm a talented SVG artist. I do fairly well with cakes, however. (borders, top designs, piping gel, airbrushing, etc.) What kind of artwork were you looking for?
Also---I am given to understand that you're looking for artwork for the version 2 release. I run Gentoo---will there be an overlay or ebuild for that?

Well, honestly, I like it. The colours are well chosen and it has a very clear form and... just keep it! I love it

The wolve is superbe! It looks just as if it is about to jump out of my sreen !
Hope you find some good artists, a shame I'm not one. Although the recent screenshots do look quite good already I think.

On a second thought: Maybe it really would be good if you listed the things you need new artwork for. that would make it easier to start on something and find out if one has good ideas...

aproximatly 100,000,000 Free Desktop Users.
How could a relativly unknown aspiring artist turn down
such a golden oportunity to impress so many people
in every corner of the world, for the next decade ?
and on top of that help make the best FOSS media player
ever, just a little bit sexier ! ( just imagine all
those people who look at said art, and say "WOW,
thats Amazing, do you do Comissions ?).

While Oxygen artists are by no means the greatest, KDE (surprisingly enough) has other artists too. And they are us We are from KDEGames and we are three (two active anyhow). Moreover we aren't that busy... well actually now that the release draws near we aren't busy at all. So... um... maybe you could somehow use us... please?, Pretty please? We're bored and lonely

Would LOVE to help out, im wanting to build up a portfolio so helping out on something like this would be fantastic.
