This sounds really tempting, I think we need more kde/qt smultimedia applications and there are some good one out there.
Perl Audio Converter It has a nice Amarok, Konqueror, Dolphin front end and it can convert virtually anything Traverso I compile it from source, but have no idea how to make a pacakge so that might be nice to have a kubuntu package from an application that ia getting better each relase.
Hi,
Traverso 0.42.0 entered Ubuntu Hardy only a day (or 2) ago , a backport has been requested for Gutsy. http://packages.ubuntu.com/hardy/sound/traverso Happy Xmass all!
I'd like to see QtCurve available for *buntu. It is a Qt 3, Qt4 and GTK 2 style which shares the same settings and look'n'feel, thus making the desktop look consistent.
already in ubuntu:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=qtcurve&searchon=names&subword=1&version=all&release=all
projectM (!!!!!!)
http://projectm.sourceforge.net/ A really good visualization (a plus, relates to amarok) Definitely activly maintained, since I just noticed the Qt+PulseAudio announcement Amarok needs a kick-butt visualization, this is it!!!
already in latest ubuntu development version:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/cgi-bin//search_packages.pl?version=all&subword=1&exact=&arch=any&releases=all&case=insensitive&keywords=libprojectm&searchon=names
btw, packages for gutsy are available in my PPA:
https://launchpad.net/~apachelogger/+archive
Huzzah! Now we need to publicize it more and (possibly) put it back it into feisty... although I could possibly use it from there, it's still nice, since my compiled version isn't that great (fullscreen doesn't work and it completely locks up my computer if I maximize the window)
I'm actually working on that too, still backporting is sometimes kinda slow
