Amarok is the best music player I know and I would love to use it under windows too!!! I read since 2006 that this is possible, it even seems that some working versions exist, but I never found somewhere a download. When will it be available?
There has never been an end user download because Amarok for windows was and is a work in progress. It would however be cool if there was some sort of alpha download available for adventurous people that don't feel like setting up a dev environment in windows just to give it a shot
Currently unless you're writing code there's no point using Amarok in it's current state. Hence we don't feel that having to have a dev environment is a problem at the moment. We don't really want bug reports, since there's already more bugs we know about than we can fix in the short term.
Once it stabilises a bit and the features start to get closer to completion we'll be releasing alphas. There will be windows binaries at that point.
I just want to drop a big thanks at the whole amarok team, in particular to the guys who are porting this great app to osx and windows
