Lefty-Loosy, or Righty-Tighty?

According to this article, viewing this spinning image can tell you which side of your brain dominates your cranial activity. Do you see the image spinning clockwise or anticlockwise?

I see the image spinning clockwise, but I can’t say that the “functions” which I am prone to are all so accurate for my day-to-day activities. See if you can convince your brain to view the image spinning in the opposite direction.

That's amazing ! I fisrt saw it turn clockwise (meaning I am a right-brained person, seems to be true), but after a while of concentration, I was able to make it turn both ways (tip : look at the reflection on the bottom, it is easier to make me change the rotation by focusing on this part). It is only kind of a shadow, so you are not able to tell which leg is in front of the other at this or this moment, that is what your brain has to imagine, and maybe what tells which part of your brain dominates you.

Wow. Couldn't get it to spin in the "wrong" direction until I read your comment. It really does help.

I don't believe this psuedo-science, though:
I am a 100% left brain person according to the list (*EVERY* single point), and to me, it spins clockwise.
Brain halves reseach is bogus.
Every single comment on the news article seems to be indicating that everyone sees her spinning clockwise, and only by looking at the shadow (which is visible only a fraction of the time) can you make it spin in another direction.

This is more of an optical illusion than behavioral science.

Thanks for sharing, though.

Well, most of my friends saw it turn anti-clockwise, and it was very difficult for them to see it turn clockwise. As you pointed out, I don't really believe that this test scientifically shows "you are a reasonable or a sensitive person" (even if it worked for me), would be far too reductive, wouldn't it ? But it maybe simply describes different ways of perceiving space, or motion, or whatever, which is however interesting to find out how people's perceptions are different

I see her going clockwise for half a turn then anticlockwise for half a turn on and on until my head gets dizzy. Must be a freak case.
