Yesterday was officially the last chance to upload jingles for our little Amarok2 startup jingle contest. We have received 15 very interesting a varied entries which the Amarok crew will be evaluating over the next weeks to pick a winner and 2 runners up. There is some really cool stuff among the contributions, and they can all be heard by going to http://ccmixter.org and typing "Amarok" into the search field.

Even if your entry is not among the top 3, it might be used for some of our future projects, such as the Libre/Creative Commons music internet radio station, "Radio Amarok" that our rokymotion team is working on.

A big thank you from the Amarok team goes out to everyone who contributed with their Jingles!

I like Noctaventure the best! Maybe without the speech at the end.

It's something that "utilizes" the speakers in different ways. Imagine... On a new Linux laptop with Kubuntu, this Jingle is Probable the second sound ever played (after the KDE startup sound)

I was just thinking that it could show that Amarok can be used for anything. So multiple sounds/styles in 1. The next song I clicked was this one. Bit loud though and a bit 'messy'. Still nice.

Nice for an tune on the radio but not when my parents start Amarok...if you know what I mean. Should be for all audiences.
