A week ago Zack managed to render a QtWebKit widget on a QGraphicsView [1]. Maybe his approach can give you some ideas? I haven't looked at his code, but it looks like he has a working scrollbar widget on the graphics view.

QGraphicsView is descended from QAbstractScollArea, getting a scroll bar isn't an issue. I just don't know how to keep the memory management benefits of QListView.
It should be possible though...
You really need to define what you need/want. What exactly does the playlist do. What is the average size, what is the maximum list size. Animations? editing? But most importantly what does it look like. Do you need it to look like a bunch of icons in a grid? Or it is always a list of rows? Do you need it to fit in multiple views? Is it a tree or table? GraphicsView and ItemView really were built as two separate solutions in Qt. GraphicsView is much more about being a canvas while itemview is about being able to show a hundred million rows (which the tableview can do) Feel free to drop me a line or on irc I am icefox and hang out in #netflixprize
