In official releases, it is required to delete a smart playlist and recreate it if you made a mistake - now you can edit them!
Hi,
nice work But the new widgets, hmhm. There is no space for information and images in the ContextBrowser. For Home and Wiki ist not important (who uses that), for the lyrics, the room is enough, but for current, i have to scroll very often. Right of the text describing the new widgets, there is too much room given away with nothing inside. Bye Cu Hurra
Just the same what I thought when I opened up my amaroK today.
There's not much space left for the context browser, can't imagine how tiny it'll look at a lower resolution, that'd become a real scrolling-hell.. It looks cool and all but really takes up far to much space and makes the context browser pretty much annoying to use, the other way was better in my opinion.
amaroK development version, SVN, is not a final release, please remember this.
We often experiment with ideas, and if they are not liked, or don't work well, we dump them. Simple Thanks for the feedback, but don't be too worried about what will and won't stay.
Yay, sorry I didn't want to sound rude. I find it rather exciting to compile the SVN version every few days to see with what great ideas you guys came up to
Just wanted to point out that I don't like the new widgets One thing I miss is some more options on the lyrics side, a way to have them stored locally or in the sql database to reduce download bandwith for the lyrics provider and to fix and add lyrics to a local database which can then be viewed by amaroK
Don't think it's possible legally...
about the sidebar, i think you might make an option to revert to the old one. i think this one is better for newbies. if you allow ppl who don't like it to turn it of, i think it's ok.
i think it's hard to make it smaller while still having the advantage of its ease of use, unless you can decrease the number of tabs. for example, if you remove 1 or 2 of them (like the ipod one) it is quite usable. but that's hard to do, too - you don't want to loose the functionallity. maybe you can have a look at juk, and try to implement some of your advanced features the way they did it. or you just have to come up with something totally new
Options are a sign of giving up.
Svn up and you'll have yet another side bar.
trying right now...
emerge rules
Current SVN version looks good, I like it that way
