让 Amarok 支持 mp3 是十分简单的事，所有版本的 SUSE Linux/openSUSE 基本要求都一样。

#<u>把 Packman 添加安装源:</u><br />添加 [http://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/mirrors/packman/suse/10.2 http://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/mirrors/packman/suse/10.2] 到 YaST2 的 ''安装源中''.<br />关于怎样操作，请看这[http://en.opensuse.org/Add_Package_Repositories_to_YaST openSUSE wiki].<br /><br />可以获得到的 Packman 仓库镜像列表: [ftp://packman.links2linux.org/pub/packman/MIRRORS ftp://packman.links2linux.org/pub/packman/MIRRORS].<br /><br />
#<u>安装 ''libxine1'' and ''amarok-xine'':</u><br />在 YaST2 中打开 ''安装/升级 软件（install/upgrade software）'' ,然后搜索''libxine1'' and ''amarok-xine''。最后，安装就可以了。<br /><br />
#<u>在 Amarok 中使用 xine 引擎:</u><br/>启动 Amarok, 打开''设置（Settings） -> （配置）Configure Amarok -> （引擎）Engine''。然后，选择 ''xine''。

要激活 Musicbrainz 对 mp3 和 mp4v2 文件对标签（tag）支持：

打开''安装/升级（install/upgrade）软件'' 在 YaST2 中，然后从仓库中搜索 ''libtunepimp-mad'' 和 ''libtunepimp-faad2''。再后，就安装他们吧。<br />注意：这里需要 Packman 仓库中有 ''mad'' 和 ''faad2'' 并确定之前已经把 Packman 仓库添加到了你的安装源中（见上文）。
