Tune the percent of volume raised and lowed with wheel on tray icon
Scrolling the mouse wheel over the amaroK tray icon the volume raises and lower with "steps" of 4% each. I'd like to tune that value (to 1%). Is it possible right now? Thank you very much, Febs
- wrong place imo (forums are for support things) ... but well, yup, you have to change the code--Apachelogger 13:58, 7 Oct 2005 (EDT)

Uncle Rodney's Scotch and Cordial, Backwater Audio-backend
- How do I obtain this fabled audio-engine?
- If we told you, we'd have to overwrite the contents of your iPod with a copy of the next Rammstein concert encoded at 12Mbps.
- I am willing to make this sacrifice.
- We don't believe you.
- Honest! Ask my mum! I never lie, really! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeease! I want it.
- Wake up kid. There is no Uncle Rodney, he has no scotch or cordial, and doesn't live in a swamp making multimedia frameworks.
- <masking tears> You lie! I'll never believe it!
- Get outta here.
- I'll be back!
- *snigger*
The kid was never seen again.

Handbook FAQ copied
I copied the material from the Handbook FAQ, which can probably be removed now - unfortunately it appears that some of it was already copied and improved. Maybe someone can rearrange this content for clarity. As markey says, it's a bit of a mess. - McCart42 01:44, 17 Mar 2005 (EST)
How do I use amaroK as an alarm clock? changes
On March 11 Nchudnoff changed "%dcop" to "%/opt/kde3/bin/dcop", and then Apachelogger made it more generic by changing it to "%`kde-config --prefix`/bin/dcop". For the purposes of the example wouldn't it be better to just start with dcop? Would kde-config be in the path if dcop isn't?

My KDE-Sound works but amaroK not, what's wrong?
I use Suse 10.0 and the sound within KDE works fine without having activated a sound system like alsa or oss in the control center. That means amoroK does not find a valid audio output (I tried the different xine options but without success)..
Can anyone help?
